The book is in Konkani in Roman script. It contains the history of all the Konkani celluloid films produced so far which are 31 in number.
It comprises of technical matter, story, photographs, songs and music notes of the Konkani films.
A separate chapter on the Konkani community’s contribution to Bollywood is also included in the Book.
The book contains:

It is of 282 pages all in colour.
The book is in Roman script as the software for music notes is compatible with this script and most of the musicians are familiar with this script making it easy for them to use.

The compilation of the book was not an easy task. This is because none of the producers of old Konkani movies have copies of the film with them. Doordarshan, Mumbai who had broadcasted many of the Konkani films also do not have any copy with them. National Film Archives of India have two Konkani films deposited with them but the whereabouts of the depositor is not known. The compilation had therefore to be made by contribution of several Konkani enthusiasts from all over the world.
